Two-thirds of convertible car owners in the UK rarely or never drop the roof, according to a recent survey conducted by Audi.
Despite Britain being one of the world’s biggest convertible car markets, 64 per cent of convertible owners prefer to keep the roof raised.
Of those surveyed, 46 per cent said they drove a convertible for the exotic looks and not the wind-in-the-hair experience.
Interestingly, 39 per cent of women owners drive with the roof down, compared to 32 per cent of men.
We’d like to see stats on convertible driving in Australia. Would our year-round sunshine coax more convertible owners to drop the roof and enjoy the ride?
