The new Vitara – dubbed the ‘Urban’ – joins the booming 2WD market, which Suzuki says now accounts for half of all SUV sales in Australia.
With its rear-wheel drive, the Urban is ideal for drivers who don’t want to venture off-road. It’s likely to cost up to $10,000 less than a 4WD equivalent.
The Grand Vitara Urban combines Suzuki’s renowned reliability and performance. Its impressive features include a new bumper and grille, 17-inch alloy wheels and improved seat fabrics. Cruise control, rear park assist, remote locking, six airbags, ESP stability control, electric windows and Bluetooth connectivity make the Urban a comfortable, convenient and safe drive.
The Urban GV3 will be rolled out first, followed by the DDiS turbo-diesel, the Sport and the Prestige.
The Sport and Prestige will feature a fully integrated touchscreen infotainment system with sat-nav and voice control. At the touch of a button and a simple voice command, you’ll be able to make phone calls, find an address or change radio stations without taking your eyes off the road.
All models will be powered by a 2.4 litre four-cylinder engine, except for the Diesel which will have a 1.9 litre turbo-diesel for better fuel efficiency.
